Task 8

1. Explain - in your own words - how the shipwreck happend. The seamen saw a rock within 200 meters distance from the boat. Because of, the wind the driven directly upon the rock and the boat immediately split. 2. How would you describe Gulliver's response to this new 'peculiar company'? When he discovered he was tied up by some little humans, he was very astonished. 3. Further along the storyline we hear that Gulliver washed ashore on an Island. Could this be a real Island? Explain your answer. Yes, the Island were he was was washed up, could be a real Island. The little people who lived on the Island are 6 inches long. This can't be real. 4. Watch this clip of Jack Black's adaptation of Gulliver's Travels. What similarities or difference are there? Similarities : The storyline of the movie and Gulliver's Travels are the same, the people in the film are just as small as described in the book and he also went on a boat just like in the book.
